Some Things Never Change
This is a picture of me (on the left) with my cousin Barbara. Barbara is a month older, but I've always had her on height. She's always had me on fashion sense.
I talked to Barbara this morning, as I often do. I had sent her a photo of the two of us in a stroller, and she said we were cute kids. I said, "Yeah, and now we're cute old hags."
Barbara and I don't stand on beds anymore. But we still have common interests, even if those interests no longer include zweiback. We still feel that good, strong family connection. We still like to cut and paste. And we still make each other laugh.

You are both adorable. And you're never to old to stand, or even jump, on beds.
Wow, do I love that shot. (As well as the entire sentiment of the post!)
Thanks, Helen and IB! I'm having such fun with my dad's pictures. I took them for granted growing up, but now I realize what a treasure trove they are. Most of my friends my age have only a few blurry or faded (or both) snapshots of their extended families.
Another great thing--and I'll probably write about this at some point--is that I've contacted some childhood friends whose families my dad photographed. They are thrilled at the prospect of receiving digitized images from "back in the day."
That's such a sweet photograph. It is great you and your cousin are still friends. I don't think I've seen any of my cousins in years.
Great pic. I am envious of your relationship.
