I planted Sweet Rocket (hesperis) 25 years ago, and it has planted itself every year since. It is classified as an invasive plant, and thus shunned by responsible gardeners. I love it.

Wolfy's Hanging in There
His Husky side still loves hanging out in the snow, even in bitter cold, and even though he's 14.
Hi Crystal - No walks in the snow for us, unfortunately. My initial concern was for my own safety, not wanting to fall on the ice again. But then I discovered that the current conditions don't offer him enough traction. We had a couple of experiences where I had to lift up his hips to get him going again.
But I have a 30' lead that I use to let him out the back door. He surprised me by not agreeing to come back in on occasion, even when the wind chill was wicked. He really is a Husky at heart (and at fur). :-)
I've always wanted to thank you for the photo of Jill on your blog. My heart always does a little flip-flop when I see it and read the caption underneath.

Oh, a wonderful photo of Wolfy. Thank you.
Thank you, IB. Looking at it, it's so nice to see Wolfy and his beloved Jill side by side.
I'm glad to hear he's doing ok. Are you guys still able to go for walks in the snow?

Glad Wolfy is still with us.

Thank you for telling me that, Dona. I love that people remember her, even those who didn't know her when she was here.
