And One For Sunflower Lovers



That's all of us, right? The stalk on this one is over 12 feet tall.

I love sunflowers but haven't had any uck growing them so far. Your's are great.

Thanks, guys. I love those colors, too. Color is something I miss in winter. (But who's anticipating?)

Lali, two days after I took that picture, the flower head began to bend over. Now it's facing the ground. I don't know why they do that. My favorite variety, Skyscraper, seems to hold their heads up longer. I forget the name of this one; they were new to me this year.

The stalks of all the big ones are hard as wood. They even look like wood inside. I leave them all up so the birds can get the seeds. It's fun to watch them in the sunflower patch.

Absolutely stunning. Tim is completely impressed too and wants to send you a jpg of a watercolor he did of one. When we get home. We'll see if we can remember.
