I planted Sweet Rocket (hesperis) 25 years ago, and it has planted itself every year since. It is classified as an invasive plant, and thus shunned by responsible gardeners. I love it.

Neat! My sister had to point out to me that the strange thing on the side of his head was probably his eye :)
Several people have asked me about that. Yes, it is definitely his eye. And I'm sure it doesn't look at all strange to another butterfly. :-)
