I planted Sweet Rocket (hesperis) 25 years ago, and it has planted itself every year since. It is classified as an invasive plant, and thus shunned by responsible gardeners. I love it.
I had one living in my shower for much of the summer -- she'd hide behind the wall when I actually used the shower, but came out before and after -- I saw her grow from a tiny dot to about the size of a grain of rice.
Lali, she's not nearly as big as she looks here. :-)
Dona, I don't know what kind she is, but when I was a child visiting Massachusetts every summer I used to observe ones that looked very similar. They built the same kind of webs (not orbs) outside the windows. How nice that you raised a spider in your shower! You're a good arachomama.
Susan, I just figured out that my camera can make a tiny movie - like just a minute or two long. Can your's do that too? I'm going to try to take one of the blue jay in my yard and see if it works. Maybe you can make obe too and post it?
Crystal, my camera can do that, but I've never tried it. My son has had some good results with his, though (same camera).
I love to watch videos (looking forward to yours!), but for some reason the thought of taking them doesn't tempt me. I was given a DVD camera a few years ago, and have never tried it. I'm ashamed of myself! Maybe if I get more grandchildren.....

Gorgeous!
Oh, good--you're a true lover! :-)
Lovely! What sort is it?

Good idea for photos - maybe I'll try to take a pic of one of the zillions that lives in my house. I'm actually getting to like spiders.
Ahem...how big is this beauty? I like teeny spiders, but the big ones give me the willies!

And Crystal, I'll be looking for your spider post.......!
