You could get yourself a CB and a well-used pickup and hit all the truck stops you like. :-)

Thanks for the link....I left you a small (but heartfelt) note.Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03880145777347900626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12721167.post-22085008653778939572010-11-12T11:03:10.017-08:002010-11-12T11:03:10.017-08:00I'd like to be a trucker with a ham radio. He has over the years urged me to study for my license--and I don't even know what a repeater is. :-)Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03880145777347900626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12721167.post-12924699930083507462010-11-09T08:34:08.325-08:002010-11-09T08:34:08.325-08:00I've toyed with the idea of getting my license...I've toyed with the idea of getting my license--did he have a hard time? Mostly I want my license for emergencies, like how ham radio operators were able to communicate after Katrina before most. I'm always thinking about how to be prepared...plus I could hear repeaters on my multiband radio in high school and they used to freak me out.Bridgetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12843150280542615265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12721167.post-29127817442470692612010-11-08T14:56:33.998-08:002010-11-08T14:56:33.998-08:00That's right! Unfortunately, the radio airwaves are populated largely by old men. My son is always one of the youngest--if not the youngest--at ham gatherings. It's too bad, because it's a great hobby. It's been my son's passion since he was 14. He's even talked to the International Space Station. :-)Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03880145777347900626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12721167.post-91761777371814667042010-11-08T02:03:30.543-08:002010-11-08T02:03:30.543-08:00Wow!
